....And this, Amy found Amusing!

So, I have finally signed up to facebook as well. No more TV so you gotta find something to do. I have discovered my creative? side and started this 'place to be' party blog for all 4 or 5 of my friends to fargin loiter. And yes, facebook. Amy, asked me my password and without thinking, I had a moment of stupid and told her. She thought it would be funny to post photos of me that I really don't need posted but now that it's out there, I thought I'd post it on my blog so my real friends can see and support me in what was intended to be a humourous moment for my kids. And it was. Hannah had this super cool T-shirt that she out grew and was going to give to our lovely niece Hailey. I said no way cuz I like it and would wear it well. yeah, well, after 2 minutes, I couldn't feel my fingers and then reality set in that I can't get this friggin' shirt of me. Help me. Lots of laughter but very little help. No worries though. Shirt was removed intact and only slightly stretched for Hailey. Well, that's it my fellow bloggers.
Your thoughts please. Cooter, you however can keep yer trapper shut. i don't need comments from the peanut gallery. I'll send someone to Beat You Up!

Welcome to the Party!

Apparently, An Ox and Red Cat has become the place to party. Why fight it? I'd like to take this time to officially open my doors to the RiffRaff trying to get in, or have already made it in (you know who you are) and welcome you all to the place to party. Grab a chair and a beverage and lets see what happens next? Will Enos do the 'Charlie Brown' dance over there in the corner, Is that Dorito ingaged in conversation with a cardboard cutout of Jr.? And what of the Squidgey one? She is the one with flour on her face and a maslin pan in her hand, and God only knows what the H-E-Double hockey sticks Peddles is doing.
Oh well, Have fun all and don't forget to give a nice warm welcome to our newest friend, Cookie!

AML everybody.

WTF......and Why

Alright, alright, enough of the comments from the squatters. Here's the thing. don't be dis'-in on my blog for not updated as i haven't seen any new posts at the sites I follow either (Yeah, leonard did just update. whatever). I have been tired and busy and sickly and wrapping presents and so on and, well, to be troof-ful, I had nothing to say.

Until Now!

Alas!, what has the marketing world come to? there is a website, www.firemeetsdesire.com, they are selling cologne. So. Yes, so, you say. The creator of this cologne is fargin' Burger King. I repeat, WTF and why? I, being of the male gender will admit to generally having no clue to whatever is going on, but even I have enough sense to realize that there can't possibly be a woman out there who will get turned on by a dude that smells like the barbecue or that his shirt was just 'flame-fucking-broiled' and Burger King. Again, WTF?! Really.

Thanks for taking the time to hear me rant once again. And to the squatters.....well really, what can I say to the sqautters, thanks for always being there and don't be afraid to update yours....and to my friend Peddles ( since dorito overlooked it, spring training starts on Feb25 )

.......Enos...you are still "the dude"

Nothing

I've got nothing of interest to say (That doesn't differ from any other day but...) . That's it. It's Christmas season. Working, visiting, eating, sleeping ( not enough) . I'm tired. Comment as you will and I will try to get in touch with my more creative side.

Cheerio, Pip-pip, peddles.

Thin the Herd

We need to simply thin the herd. This morning, driving around at work, some fuckin'schmuck opened his car door and was bout to cross the street when he looked and realized, 'Oh Crap, there's a van coming this way' (me). Kind of startled this nuclear chemist. then the dikfore goes to continue crossing the street without looking the other way and damn near gets pasted by a southbound car. Now I'm not totally without a heart. Don't want to see people get hurt unnecessarily but we do not need winners like this in our basic gene pool.
That's it! That's all! We need to thin the friggin' herd.

Bobber Blogs rant as heard here at 'An Ox and Red Cat'

Still Surviving

well, today was my first day off 'sans cable' and it was GGRRREEAAAAATT. No, really. I was able to get things done around the house, get ready-er (this is my blog so ready-er IS a word) for Christmas, bake a cake (cuz I felt like a snack- yes, Liz, I was dressed appropriately) and just do things. After dinner, Amy and I retired to the living room to watch the last 2 episodes of 'Arrested Development' (Thanks Nick- Annyong). It has been nice. I feel like we are not slaves to the TV clock. Nick and I are thinking about starting a support group for people who want to let go of their cable but find it too difficult. Well people, I am here for you. Take the first step. I urge you. call your local subscriber and just say no. Free yourselves. I assure you, you won't miss much. Ok maybe a race or two but i'm being redundant when I say you won't miss much, eh, Peddles?
Now for those of you who are new to ' An Ox and Red Cat', i must be honest. We are not without TV. Just without cable. All we watch are quality movies or videos without commercial interruption. And no more of this 4-5 hours a night. 1-2 is sufficient. Here is a crazy thought for those of you that know me. Read a book or better yet, play and interact with your chill-uns for those of you that got 'em. Hug them, love them, squeeze them, have fun with them, and occassionally, fart on them cuz after all, they are your kids and that's what good parents do.

.......... Really? They don't? Ok, I'll have to work on that myself but it's just soooooo funny (mwahahahahahaha)

(Sorry to steal your quote Liz, but it worked there.)

Ok, so we got through the first 24 hours ok. We are currently happy and no one has gotten hurt. That....is a good thing. I did work today at someones home who had 6 tv's and I was disgusted. Cool. I am feeling good about this.
Blogger Bob? WTF? You, sir, are the man with 6 or 7 a.k.a's. Don't bring me into this name thing.......of course your sister kind of has started that already with the McBoinkie and Calvin McBoink talk, so I guess, you may as well have it. Just remember, creativity is the key.
Ok, one last thought about this 'no TV house'. Tomorrow, (Thursday) is my first day off without TV, no kids here to entertain me, and Amy will be working. Friends and followers, please say a prayer for me tonight before you tuck yourself in for the night for tomorrow will be the test. I will respond with a grumpy scale on my next post to let you know how I do.
Till then, Tar-tar.

No More TV

Ok. First blog. Don't terribly know how this will work but let's give it a shot.
All I have to say today is that we (mainly me) are sick and tired of what is passing as programming on TV. Get home, turn on the tube, surf, find nothing worth watching and then settling for 'this' program or 'that; program that really isn't very good. The hell with it. Cable TV got disconnected today. So far.... I feel great. Excited about the change. Stay tuned here though. I might be jonesing by the weekend.
Hi Squidgey-One. AML.
